Pepper spray’s active ingredient is Oleoresin Capsicum (O.C.), commonly called red pepper. Oleoresin Capsicum is a non-lethal, non-toxic, non-flammable solution that has been pressurized with C02|in aerosol form}.

Pepper spray offers real self defense while keeping a safe distance from an attacker. A one second spray at the face induces temporary blindness, enflaming the mucous membranes restricting breathing, coughing, and nausea. Pepper spray use will bring the attacker to their knees with effects continuing as long as 45 minutes.

Pepper Gels generally increase the range and provide more accurate aiming than the basic aerosol units. Plus, pepper gels give you stronger pepper mixtures and the foam or gel sticks to your assailants face for maximum effect.

Pepper Spray Foggers

Pepper spray which is delivered using the aerosol method creates a cloud of pepper spray which is why it is called a fogger. The main advantages of this method are you do not have to be very accurate with your aim. Also, the pepper spray can cover a bigger area… or multiple targets using a single spray. The disadvantages are that if you are on the move or in a windy area the pepper fog might reverse back towards you. Also a dispersed fog is not going to deliver as powerful a wallop as an intense squirt of pepper gel or pepper foam.
